Sandstone at Spittal Beach, Northumberland, is a source of fascination for many photographers, myself included. Each time I visit at low tide, I admire the valleys, gorges, curves and layers, and the little pools of water that create a world in itself. The movement of sand with the ebb and flow of the tide, the changing light and the waves stroking the stones all create endless impressions of these ancient rocks.
